Abstract:
To provide a solid-state imaging device and a method of manufacturing it, which is superior in controllability of space between lenses at microlens formation and obtains high effective sensitivity and proper color reproducibility, by suppressing the generation of lens non-forming part due to lens fusing and enhancing microlens formation stability.
Microlenses on imaging device are formed by a first process of forming microlenses on light-receiving sections selected in the shape of a checkered pattern from a plurality of light-receiving sections, and a second process of forming microlenses on the light-receiving sections which have not been selected in the first process.
