Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blowing method for combustible dust wherein blowing conditions within an optimum range corresponding to the amount of blow into the combustible dust are set, and a stable operation in the state with the low amount of the use of coke is performed, and further the reduction of the amount of the dust on and later of a dust removal apparatus is ensured. SOLUTION: A blowing method is adapted such that waste is inserted into a waste melting furnace including a plurality of stages of twyers together with coke and limestone, and when the waste is dried, thermally decomposed, combusted, and melted, oxygen rich air at ordinary temperature or air at high temperature is blown into a coke bed from a lower stage twyers, and further collected combustible dust is blown from the lower stage twyers. In the blowing method, blowing conditions are varied in response to the amount of blowing to the combustible dust such that a ratio(B/A) of the theoretical amount of oxygen(B) calculated from the amounts and compositions of the combustible dust and coke collected and supplied from the lower stage twyers with respect to the amount of oxygen(A) from the lower stage twyers falls within a range of from 0.5 to 1.0.
