Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation supporting apparatus that allows a user to operate to change a virtual viewpoint and a virtual sightline direction and to enlarge/reduce a screen without burdening the user. SOLUTION: The operation supporting apparatus of the present invention comprises: a plurality of cameras 11; a plurality of virtual viewpoint changing means 12; image compositing means 13 for compositing image information from this virtual viewpoint changing means; guide image generating means 15; image compositing means 16; and switching means 17. The virtual viewpoint changing means 12 changes a virtual viewpoint based on a installing position and a installing attitude of each camera 11 in accordance with a virtual viewpoint that is set by a user (operator) through the switching means 17, a virtual sightline direction, and a switching mode for enlarging and reducing the screen (situation where a virtual viewpoint, a direction of sightline and magnification were changed). An image superimposing means 16 superimposes an image that is composited by the image compositing means 13 on an image that represents a sightline direction generated by guide image generating means 15 with an arrow.
