Abstract:
The method involves downsampling luminance and chrominance signals and using the signals to separate an image into textured and non-textured regions having boundaries. The downsampled chrominance signals are cleaned in the textured regions in response to the boundaries of region and signals. The downsampled noise cleaned chrominance signals are upsampled. The luminance and upsampled noise cleaned chrominance signals are used. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method of image processing color digital image (b) a computer program product practicing a method of reducing aliasing artifacts in a color digital image.
