Abstract:
To provide a fiber optical switch with a simple structure.
A refractive index matching agent filled part 23 composed of holes 33 filled with a refractive index matching agent, whose refractive index has a temperature characteristic and whose variation range brought about by the temperature change includes the refractive index of a cladding 32, filled therein is formed in a holey optical fiber 11 comprising a core 31 and the cladding 32 having the cylindrical holes 33 spaced equally and formed on the circumference centering on the core 31.
