To provide an evaluation method and device for a wire harness as well as an evaluation program and its record medium, enabling to easily evaluate cable-routing characteristics including a routing shape and reaction force in the case of shifting of a directing site of the wire harness by analysis with a finite element method on the screen.
An analysis means 14 for analyzing cable-routing shapes and reaction force with connectors at a retention state with physical properties, shapes, constrained positions, and constrained directions with the use of CAD data for designing a three-dimensional routing shapes of the wire harness, a dislay control means 10 for displaying virtual three-dimensional shape images at the above routing shapes, condition-setting screens setting analytic conditions from an input operating part and analysis result outputting screens of the reaction force on a screen 2a, a coordinate value recognizing means 12 for recognizing a shifting destination of the directing site on the virtual three-dimensional shape images directed form the input operating part 5 as a coordinate value, and an analytic condition setting means 13 setting analytical conditions input into the analysis means 14 based on the analytic conditions contained in the CAD data, the analytic conditions set on the condition-setting screen, and the constrained positions specified by the coordinate value.
