To provide an agitation defoaming apparatus capable of agitating a material to be agitated in a state where a container is fixed on a rotating base.

The agitation defoaming apparatus comprises a rotary base 6 for fixing a container 10 containing a material to be agitated K on its periphery portion, a support member 3 for rotatably supporting the rotary base 6, and a first rotation driving mechanism 5 for revolving the container 10 by rotating the rotary base 6, and further comprises a shear rate generation means 7 for generating a shear rate to the material to be agitated K contained in the container 10, wherein the shear rate generation means 7 is composed of a shear rate generation portion 71 and a second rotation driving mechanism 72 for rotating and driving the shear rate generation portion 71.
