Abstract:

To provide a method by which even a repair material having sites of different thicknesses of a ceramics layer such as a coping for bridges can easily be produced when the dental repair material made of ceramics is produced by a method for electrophoretic forming.

A negative model having an electroconductive layer in a site corresponding to the outer shape of the objective repair material is used as one of electrodes as an electrode when ceramics particles are deposited by electrophoresis. The negative model can preferably be produced by a technique for preparing a wax model having the shape of the repair material, embedding/curing the wax model in a mold material such as a phosphate embedding material, then burning down the wax, subsequently coating the interior with an electroconductive paste, drying the paste and producing the model. The ceramics particles are deposited by the electrophoresis, then dried and subsequently baked together with the negative model to afford a sintered body having especially a small change in shape and high compatibility.
