Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multiple plate type screw press of a good dehydration performance in which openings of fixed plates and movable plates are aligned and the openings are fitted into the envelope cylindrical face of a screw. SOLUTION: The screw press device is provided with a) an alternately superposed array of a filtering cylinder 2 constituted of a number of fixed plates 10 each having an opening and a number of movable plates 11 which substantially have the same opening diameter as that of the fixed plates and is capable of rotating in the same plate with a spacing of minute filtering gaps, b) a screw 5 piercing through the cylindrical cavity of the filtering cylinder, c) a first drive mechanism 7 to drive the screw rotatively, and d) second drive mechanisms 6, 16 to drive the movable plates rotatively.
