Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a base pipe for fuel cells that is of light weight and low cost and has a desired coefficient of thermal expansion, coefficient of contraction at sintering and porosity, and the material for the base pipe. SOLUTION: This is a base pipe for fuel cells that contains 40-60% of a calcia stabilized zirconia and the remainder is constructed in substance of calcium titanate, and 50-70% of the particles of the material of the above cacia stabilized zirconia and calcium titanate is made of a fine particle having a mean particle size of 0.7-5 μm and the remainder is made of a coarse particle having a mean particle size of 15-300 μm.
