Abstract:
To provide a functional substrate having a functional layer with less unevenness of thickness thereof.
An organic EL element 1 has an AM substrate 10, a water repellent bank 30, a photocatalyst layer 20 containing photocatalyst, and an organic layer 40. The water repellent bank 30 is formed on the functional substrate so as to demarcate the surface of the substrate in a plurality of areas. The photocatalyst layer 20 is arranged at peripheral part of respective areas. The organic layer 40 is arranged at respective areas so that the peripheral part thereof contacts the photocatalyst layer 20.
