Abstract:
To provide a precise flowmeter in an ultrasonic fluid measuring device measuring the flow velocity or flow rate of a fluid.
Ultrasonic waves are transmitted from an upstream ultrasonic converter 3 and from a downstream ultrasonic converter 4 substantially at the same time, and received by the downstream and upstream ultrasonic converters, respectively, and the ultrasonic propagation time is determined from the time difference between the both. The flow rate of the fluid is computed by use of the determined time, whereby a precise flowmeter is realized.
