Abstract:
An apparatus (Mediating Badge) for connecting a computing device of a visitor to a computer network of an entity which wishes to limit access to its network, said apparatus comprising:a personalizing unit for enabling the entering of personalization data to personalize said apparatus in order to enable said computing device of the visitor to connect to said apparatus;a first access unit comprising a first interface for enabling said visitor to access said apparatus through said first interface based on said personalization data;a second access unit comprising a second interface for enabling said apparatus to access said computer network through said second interface;a filtering unit for filtering the traffic between said first and said second interfaces to thereby enforce a security policy which is based on said personalization data to thereby enable said visitor to access said computing network of said entity through a path comprising said first interface and said second interface while enforcing said security policy.
