There are provided a data sharing system, a copy content data storage control device, and the like capable of holding an appropriate number of replicas of content data in each node device according to the popularity. The data sharing system includes a plurality of node devices connected to one another via a network. Copy content data obtained by copying content data which can be used in the plurality of node devices from one of the node devices is stored in at least one of the node devices. The copy content data storage control device controls storage of the copy content data. The copy content data storage control device includes: desired number-of-uses information acquisition means for acquiring the number-of-uses information indicating the desired number of uses of the content data; number-of-copies decision means for deciding the number of copies of the content data according tot he desired number-of-uses information acquired; node selection means for selecting the number of node devices corresponding to the number of copies decided; and content storage control means for transmitting storage request information indicating a request for storing the copy content data to the selected node device so that the copy content data is stored in such a manner that it can be used from the plurality node devices.
