Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic control damper capable of being simply applied to a wooden building at a low cost. SOLUTION: A pair of steel plates 1 and 2 respectively fixed to two members connected to each other in a joint section of a wooden framework are laminated in an in-plane relative rotatable manner by holding a viscoelastic material between both steel plates. The steel plates have body sections 1a and 2a for holding the viscoelastic material and mounting sections 1b and 2b fixed to two members. As a steel plate, plate-like steel plate, uneven-shape bent-up processed steel plate, L-shape bent steel plate, T-shape welded steel plate or the like can be adopted. The steel plates are mounted on two planes of structure on both sides of the joint section and are mounted on four planes of structure on the circumference of the joint section. A welded anchor hardware or a brace fixed harware can be set to the joint section between a column and a sill. Both steel plates are clamped with an expansion stop bolt 7. A projection cut into the member surface layer section is provided in the mounting section, and a burr or a cut-off is used for a projection when a hole is formed. Both wood screw and adhesive are properly used for fixing.
