To provide a driver floating or sedimenting by pouring or stopping air in water and provide an underwater apparatus using the driver.
A control space 3 is formed in a buoyant body 2 and a control hole 4 making the inside of the control space 3 communicate with the outside of the control space 3 is formed in the buoyant body 2. An air feed pipe 5 is connected to the control space 3 in the buoyant body 2 and pouring of air through the air feed pipe 5 into the control space 3 is continued so that a specific gravity of water in the control space 3 is controlled so as to be smaller than a specific gravity of water on the outside of the buoyant body 2 and buoyancy is imparted to the buoyant body 2 by the difference of specific gravities and action of bubbling in which air overflows upwardly from the control hole 4. When the buoyant body 2 is sedimented into water, pouring of air from the air feed pipe 5 is stopped and water pressure in the control space 3 is controlled to be smaller than water pressure on the outside of the buoyant body 2 and water is made to flow into the control space 3 by the difference of water pressure. When inside and outside water pressures are balanced, sedimentation gravity is made to act on the buoyant body 2 and the buoyant body 2 is sedimented. The driver 1 is used for main force or auxiliary force of a driving source of a underwater body.
