To provide a method of judging renal disorder, which enables the judgment of renal disorder, especially glomerulus epithelium disorder severe in damage by a noninvasive detection method.
Renal disorder is judged by detecting SM22α in urine. PCR method, an immunochemical method or ELISA method is suitably used in the detection of SM22α. The PCR method is performed using a SM22α specific primer and the immunochemical method is performed by performing immunological dyeing using an anti-SM22α antibody to perform observation using a fluorescence microscope while the ELISA method is performed using the anti-SM22α antibody. Urine is a urine deposit or a urine supernatant obtained by a centrifugal separation method. By this method, the renal disorder, especially the glomerulus epithelium disorder severe in damage wherein the development of podocalyxin or nephrin is weak or defficient can be judged by the noninvasive detection method.
