Abstract:
A front plate for an AC type plasma display panel is provided to lower a firing voltage and a discharge sustain voltage by using a dielectric protective layer including Mg6MnO8 of a Murdochite structure. A front plate for an AC type plasma display panel includes a transparent glass substrate(2), a discharge electrode(3), a dielectric layer(6), and a dielectric protection layer(7). The discharge electrode is formed on the transparent glass substrate. The dielectric layer is formed on the transparent glass substrate in order to coat the discharge electrode. The dielectric protective layer is formed on the dielectric layer. The dielectric protective layer is formed with an inorganic compound having a Murdochite structure of a chemical expression of Mg6MnO8.
