Abstract:
To improve a communication speed of communication using an ADSL.
In an ADSL apparatus using an ADSL line as a WAN interface, particularly, in the case of short distance of about 1 km, the system of the present invention includes: confirming beforehand presence/no presence of a signal in a frequency band for VDSL communication near a telephone line to be used; and allocating a waveband to be used for VDSL as a frequency band to be used for ADSL when there is no VDSL signal, so that the speed of ADSL communication is improved by extending a band to be used for ADSL communication.
