To provide a motor with an embedded permanent magnet which is compact, high-output, and efficient by lessening the influence of magnetic saturation at the periphery of the rotor core of an overhange part, in a permanent magnet embedded motor.
This motor, which is equipped with a stator where an annular yoke and a plurality of teeth are made radially, leaving circumferential space serving as grooves for winding, and a rotor which faces the above stator via a small air gap and generates a field by a permanent magnet embedded in a rotor core retained rotatably, has a second rotor core 6 where a permanent magnet 7, where the same magnetic pole as the magnetic pole of a first rotor core is so axially magnetized as to be on the side of the first rotor core, is arranged on the side of the end face of the first rotor core 4 which has the permanent magnet facing the stator core via an air gap.
