Abstract:

To separate motion vectors of a picked-up image into motion vectors caused by movement of an apparatus and motion vectors caused by its rotation.

A motion vector detection section detects motion vectors of (t) and (t+1) vectors, and a camera movement information calculation section detects motion vectors of (t) and (t-1) frames on the basis of image data of the (t-1) frame for which the rotating motion of a camera is corrected by processing of a camera rotating motion correction section. A camera motion separating section separates motion vectors into motion vectors caused by movement of an apparatus and motion vectors caused by rotation. The present invention can be applied to an imaging apparatus.
