Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tabular stock for plastic working with which a formed article having a thick-walled part and a thin-walled part is easily formed and which has excellent formability, and to provide a bottomed cylindrical body formed of the stock. SOLUTION: The stock 10 is discoidal or square tabular, and provided with a thick-walled part K in the center part and a thin-walled part N formed around the thick-walled part. The thick-walled part K and the thin-walled part N are integrally welded by the friction stir welding. The bottomed cylindrical body with excellent quality can be easily formed by performing the plastic working such as drawing on this stock 10.
