To remarkably improve the operability by eliminating the labor of switching an operation every time while confirming the directionality every time when switching scenes.

This image display method is constituted by having a first vector arithmetic means 202 for calculating the moving vector of a character 106 seen from a designated visual point; a first position arithmetic means 204 for calculating the position (world coordinate) or direction of the character 106 from the obtained moving vector; a visual point switching means 206 for switching, when requiring the switching of the visual point, the visual point according to the position of the character 106; and a direction keeping means 214 for keeping the moving direction of the character 106, when an operation input is kept even in the state where the visual point is switched, in relation to at least the moving direction of the character 106 on a map in the scene just before the switching.
