To provide a device for generating active oxygen species in which same active oxygen species-including material can be repeatedly used, and to provide a method for efficiently producing an active oxygen species-containing liquid.

The active oxygen species-generating device comprises a vessel for immobilizing the active oxygen species-inclusion material, piping for supplying an oxygen-containing gas into the vessel, a piping for supplying air or an inert gas into the vessel, a heater for heating the vessel, piping for taking out the active oxygen species and a tank for introducing the taken-out species into a liquid. The method for production of the active oxygen species-containing liquid comprises a process of supplying an oxygen gas to the active oxygen species-inclusion material immobilized in the device and heating to include the species in the material and a process of supplying air or the inert gas and heating to take out the included active oxygen species outside the device. By repeating the inclusion and taking-out of the species, the species taken out of same material for inclusion are introduced into the liquid.
