To provide an image processor capable of highly accurately and quickly extracting a foreground region from a dynamic image including a background and the foreground.
An image acquisition part 13 acquires the dynamic image being an image to be processed. A background difference part 14 obtains a difference between the image to be processed and a luminance background image to generate a difference image. A region sectionalizing part 15 sectionalize the image to be processed into four kinds of regions, based on the luminance component of the difference image. A shade removing part 16 removes the shade of an object, based on the difference between the color component of the region and the color component of a background model image. A labelling part 17, a contour extracting part 18, a region growing part 19, and a foreground region extracting part 20 extracts the foreground region from the image to be processed, based on the four kinds of regions from which the shade regions has been removed.
