To provide a device for displaying the number of charges for a secondary battery, by which the degree of deterioration can be confirmed in use together with general purpose secondary battery, and power from the secondary battery is prevented from being excessively consumed.

The device for displaying the number of charges for the secondary battery is constituted so that a driving voltage is automatically applied to a means 4 for outputting a count-up signal, a means 6 for storing the number of the charges; a display means 7, a system control means 8, and a voltage detection means 12 only when a charger connection detecting means 10 confirms that a charger 9 during operation is connected between a positive terminal 2 and a negative terminal 3.
