Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymeric fluorophor having long service life when used in polymeric LED(light emitting diode). SOLUTION: This method for producing a polymeric fluorophor having fluorescence in a solid state is characterized by comprising the step of treating a polymeric fluorophor having a number-average molecular weight of 1×10<4> to 1×10<8> calculated as polystyrene with an acid. The other version of this method is characterized by comprising the steps of treating a polymeric fluorophor having a number-average molecular weight of 1×10<4> to 1×10<8> calculated as polystyrene with an acid and then treating the resultant polymeric fluorophor with an alkali. The other version of this method is characterized by comprising the steps of treating a polymeric fluorophor having a number- average molecular weight of 1×10<4> to 1×10<8> calculated as polystyrene with an acid and then treating the resultant polymeric fluorophor with an alkali and finally treating the resultant polymeric fluorophor with a substance free from both acid and alkali.
