The image recognition device 1, which includes a plurality of imagers C1 and C2, which are installed on own vehicle, imaging mutually several different directions to implement image recognition of features existing around own vehicle, includes an own vehicle positional information acquiring means 9 acquiring positional information of own vehicle, a feature information acquiring means 10 acquiring feature information surrounding own vehicle position from a prescribed feature database DB2, based on own vehicle positional information, and a selecting means 13 for selecting one from among a plurality of imagers C1 and C2, based on both own vehicle positional information and feature information according to a selection rule acquiring required imaging information.
