Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current collector material enabling a battery to have high capacity, enabled to carry out a high rate discharge, and to provide a battery using the same. SOLUTION: A current collector comprises an unwoven fabric 11, and a plated film 12 formed on the unwoven fabric 11. The area of the cross section of the plated area on the surface of the unwoven fabric fiber ranges between 20-130 μm<2> . It is preferable to apply a treatment making the unwoven fabric 11 hydroforbic, and to make the fineness of the fiber composing the unwoven fabric 11 not less than 1.5 dtex. The current collector is enabled to use for various primary batteries and secondary batteries, and it is recommendable to use it for an alkali secondary battery.
