To provide an apparatus and a method of efficiently treating a salt-containing waste liquid such as a decomposition waste liquid of a jellyfish to decompose and dispose of at a low cost without using a special apparatus and causing environmental pollution, and a microorganism used for at least one of the treating apparatus and the treating method.
The apparatus for treating the salt-containing waste liquid has a support onto which the microorganism capable of growing in the salt-containing liquid is fixed and a contact means for bringing the salt-containing waste liquid into contact with the support. In the method of treating the salt-containing waste liquid, the salt-containing waste liquid is brought into contact with the support onto which the microorganism capable of growing in the salt-containing liquid is fixed. The microorganism growing in the salt-containing waste liquid is used at least for one of the treating apparatus or the treating method.
