To provide a hybrid drive unit which improves an energy efficiency by suppressing an energy loss due to an operation of a rotation electric motor in a high speed traveling, while operating an engine at an efficient operation point by controlling rotation drive forces of two rotation electric motors in a low and middle speed traveling.
The hybrid drive unit is provided switchably with a first split mode and a second split mode which are different from each other in torque conversion ratios when a rotary drive force of an inputting member I is transmitted to an outputting member O, while the rotation speeds of the outputting member O, a first rotation motor MG1, and a second rotation motor MG2 are determined in proportion to the rotation speed of the inputting member I. The hybrid drive unit is also provided switchably with a parallel speeding up mode to be transferred to the outputting member O by increasing the rotation speed of the inputting member I.
