To enable a user to appropriately understand the registered word in an actual text, when the word is registered by various functions, such as history function and vocabulary notebook function.
In a display control device, the user depresses a translation key, and inputs the text of English which is a candidate for the translation by the depression of a letter key (a). The English text entered is translated into Japanese text. When the same English word as any of English word registered into the vocabulary notebook is detected to the inside of the inputted English text, Japanese text substituted to the alphabetical word one which corresponding to the translation section is detected by the detected alphabetical word is displayed (b). Furthermore, when the user depresses a translation/decision key, entire sentence of the English text with underline attached is given to the detected alphabetical word and Japanese text which is decodement, to which underline has been added, is displayed on this English word by corresponding to the section (c).
