A digital broadcasting video-recording and playback apparatus includes: an event message detecting means for detecting a broadcasted event message; and a video-recording and playback control means 15 in which an in-point or an out-point of a trunk-side video and audio specific scene is detected based on the detected event message, metadata relating to the main program side video and audio are produced by a metadata producing section 20, based on the detected in-point or out-point of the trunk-side video and audio specific scene, and playback of the video-recorded trunk-side video and audio is controlled on the basis of the metadata.
