Title:
投影装置
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP4948695
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which projects images for the left eye and images for the right eye varying in polarization angles to a screen to enable a viewing person to perceive the stereoscopic images and may be easily introduced. SOLUTION: The projector 1 which respectively lines up and forms the images for the left eye and the images for the right eye by liquid crystal panels 14R, 14G and 14B by noticing that the input side of a projection lens 2 is telecentric, then synthesizes the images with a common dichroic prism 16 and further separates respective parallel luminous fluxes 50a and 50b, synthesizes these luminous fluxes by a polarization beam splitter 25 after changing the polarization angle of one thereof and projects the luminous fluxes with the common projection lens 2 is provided. Since the projection of the right and left images is possible with the single projector 1, the stereoscopic images may be formed by the projector which does not require the labor for superposing the images at a low cost.
