Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent slipping of a driving belt even when a primary pulley rotational frequency rapidly drops in an extremely slow state by hard deceleration. SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission has a primary pulley and a secondary pulley with the driving belt suspended between them. Ratios of winding diameters of the driving belt are changed by adjusting a primary pressure fed to the primary pulley and a secondary pressure fed to the secondary pulley. When the rotation frequency of the primary pulley is a predetermined value or less, a vehicle speed is a predetermined value or less, and deceleration of a vehicle is larger than a predetermined value, a gross slip of the driving belt during hard deceleration is prevented by setting the primary pressure to a high pressure, raising the secondary pressure and setting the primary pressure high in accordance with the secondary pressure, raising the secondary pressure in accordance with dropping of the rotational frequency of the primary pulley, or setting the secondary pressure and the primary pressure high.
