To provide a method for preparing a polyoxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxane compound capable of simultaneously solving the problem of yield reduction of the polyoxyalkylene compound and the problem of gelation at hydrosilylation.

In the preparation method, hydrosilylation is carried out using an α-hydro-ω-alkenyloxy-polyoxyalkylene compound of the formula: R1O-(EO)m-(BO)nH (wherein R1is a 3-5C alkenyl group having a double bond at the terminal; EO is an oxyethylene group: BO is an oxybutylene group; m is 7-50; and n is 1-2) and a hydrogen organopolysiloxane compound of formula (2) (wherein R2is a methyl group or a phenyl group; R3is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or a phenyl group; x is 1-200; and y is 1-100).
