To provide an electronic mail system which can reduce erroneous transmission of an electronic mail.
An information processing apparatus for receiving the electronic mail from a terminal and for controlling transmission to a mail distribution device includes a storage means for storing a control table set with a transmission control content to the electronic mail corresponding to a pair of transmission person information and reception person information, a determination means for determining whether the pair of the transmission person information and the reception person information is included in the control table or not, and a control means for suspending the transmission to the mail distribution device, to be stored in a suspended mail storage part, when the pair is included in the control table, and when transmission control information corresponding to the pair is the suspension of the electronic mail, for conducting the transmission instantaneously, when the pair is included in the control table, and when the transmission control information corresponding to the pair is the transmission of the electronic mail, and for executing processing of the electronic mail, according to a prescribed initial set operation, when the pair is determined to be not included in the control table.
