To provide an oxide system active material capable of using for a lithium secondary battery electrode material which is superior in charge and discharge cycle for a long period of time and can be expected of a high capacity, to provide its manufacturing method, and to provide a lithium secondary battery including the electrode containing the active material as a constituent.
The active material for the lithium secondary battery has titanium dioxide having a crystal structure of bronze titanate type as a principal component and has an isotropic shape of micron size, and its manufacturing method as well as a lithium secondary battery including the electrode containing the active material as a constituent are provided.
