Rotational phases of a plurality of polygon mirrors are adjusted so that a laser beam is detected by at least one or more laser beam detection means at a timing that is different from the other laser beam detection means among a plurality of laser beam detection means for detecting the laser beam which is radiated from the plurality of laser beam radiation means and scanned by the plurality of polygon mirrors at a prescribed positions on a scanned path of the laser beam. Thus, output timing of BD signals (K), (Y), (C), (M) that are horizontal synchronization signals from the plurality of laser beam detection means are made different (t1 to t4) and a multiple access to an image data storing means can be suppressed.
