To provide an organic EL display device and its manufacturing method in which brightness of the organic EL element is intensified and its life is extended.
The organic EL display device comprises a substrate SUB and an organic EL element OLED arranged on it. The organic EL element OLED comprises an anode AND, a cathode CTD, a light emitting layer EMT of organic substance which is interposed between the anode AND and the cathode CTD, and a positive hole transportation layer HTL of organic substance which is interposed between the light emitting layer EMT and the anode AND. The positive hole transportation layer HTL comprises a first organic substance layer HTL1, and a second organic substance layer HTL2 which has a positive hole mobility different from the first organic substance layer HTL1 and is interposed between the first organic substance layer HTL1 and the light emitting layer EMT.
