To provide a method for repairing a defective part of a coating film obtained by matte coating so that a feeling of gloss is uniform.
The coating composition comprises particulate matting materials [A] and [B] having different average particle diameters. The coating composition comprises 1-20 parts wt. of the matting material [A] and 4-35 parts wt. of the matting material [B] in the 100 parts wt. of the solid of the coating composition. A repair part is coated with a first matting material for repair having 10-40 parts wt. total of the matting material [A] and the matting material [B] and the circumference of the repair part is coated with a second matting material for repair having a gloss value higher than that of the first matting material for repair.
