Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell capable of responding to a request for reduced film thickness and preventing a short circuit, and further also having high photoelectric conversion efficiency, and a method for manufacturing the dye-sensitized solar cell.SOLUTION: A dye-sensitized solar cell includes: a first electrode; a second electrode disposed to face the first electrode; a photoelectric conversion part disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and including a metal oxide semiconductor fine particle having a surface on which a dye sensitizer is supported; and an electrolyte layer disposed, as in the photoelectric conversion part, between the first electrode and the second electrode. The photoelectric conversion part is configured so as to include a first photoelectric conversion part and a second photoelectric conversion part projecting from at least a part of an outer edge of the first photoelectric conversion part.
