Abstract:
To provide a resin for a fuel tank which is a material for a large capacity superior in the balance of molding property and durability, especially a resin for an injection mold plastic fuel tank having an excellent balance of injection molding property, durability and impact resistant and a molded article using it.
Polyethylene resin and the like for the injection mold plastic fuel tank for satisfying the following requirements 1-5. (1) Density is in the range of 0.940-0.970 g/cm3. (2) High load melt flow rate (HLMFR) (test condition: 190°C, 21.6 kg load) is equal to or more than 6 g/10 minutes. (3) Shear consistency at 230°C and shear rate 243 sec-1is equal to or lower than 10,000 poise. (4) Charpy impact strength at -40°C is equal to or higher than 5 KJ/m2. (5) Fracture time in a full notch creep test (measured at 80°C, 6 MPa) is equal to or longer than 80 hours.
