Abstract:
To shorten processing time in color shift correction when detection of a pattern for color shift detection is normal while maintaining the color shift correction with high accuracy.
The color image forming apparatus determines whether or not there is an abnormality in detection of a color shift detection pattern image based on an output value of an optical sensor when the color shift detection pattern image is detected (S23). The color image forming apparatus performs light intensity adjustment when there is the abnormality in detection of the color shift detection pattern image (S23: YES) when a color shift amount is set.
