To enable a user to easily select object data from a data set, when moving a focus at high speed on a display screen on which the data set is enumerated and displayed with data to be selected focused to be presented to the user.

When an importance determination unit 104 determines importance for each data and moves a focus at high speed, a focus control unit 103 determines a focus maintenance time period during which a focus is continuously applied for each data on the basis of the importance for each data, and a display control unit 102 controls a display unit 108 so as to move the focus at high speed and make a display in which each data remains to be focused during the focus maintenance time period.
