To provide a lightweight, small-size and inexpensive drinking detector preventing drunk driving not merely by the measurement of a blood-alcohol concentration but effectively and surely preventing the drunk driving by considering internal substances inducing acetaldehyde and fatigue.
This drinking detector is provided with: a bioinformation acquisition section 4 for acquiring bioinformation of a subject as authentication object information; a measurement section 1 operatively connected with the operation of the bioinformation acquisition section 4, selectively measuring infrared spectroscopic absorptive power of a part of the subject's body on a specific wavelength, and acquiring examination object information; an information storage section 8 for storing registered bioinformation and a reference absorptive power; an authentication section 10 comparing the registered bioinformation with the authentication object information and authenticating the subject as a specific driver; and a determination section 10 comparing the reference absorptive power with the examination object information in the specific wavelength and determining the drinking state of the specific driver.
