To provide a user authentication method, a user authentication system, a user terminal, a user authentication device, a program for user terminal, and a program for user authentication device, which achieve user authentication of high security.
An electric field communication device 100 stores auxiliary data having a secret key made secret in advance using biological information on a user 200 who owns the electric field communication device 100 through Fuzzy Vault Scheme. When receiving the biological information on the user 200 acquired by the user authentication device 300, the electric field communication device 100 restores the secret key from the auxiliary data using the biological information, and ciphers a random number character string for authentication transmitted from the user authentication device 300 using the secret key. The user authentication device 300 deciphers the random number character string having been ciphered, and transmitted from the electric field communication device using a previously stored open key corresponding to the ID of the electric field communication device, and authenticates whether the random number character string having been ciphered matches the random number character string before ciphered.
