Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently vaporize the fuel injected into an EGR passage and efficiently use the thermal energy of exhaust gas.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine, in which a part of combusted gas discharged from a combustion chamber is introduced into an intake passage 5 through the EGR passage 15 and the EGR passage 15 is opened and closed by an EGR valve 16, includes an injector 17 for EGR injecting fuel into the EGR passage 15, a calculation part calculating a fuel injection quantity to be injected from the injector 17 for EGR based on the flow rate of the combusted gas flowing in the EGR passage 15, which is estimated at an EGR flow rate estimation part, and an ECU controlling fuel injection operation of the injector 17 for EGR to inject the fuel injection quantity calculated by the calculation part.
