Abstract:
To provide a game machine capable of displaying an image at time when the image should be displayed without any problems even if storage means having a slow read speed is used as storage means of image information.SOLUTION: At least partial image data are transferred to a resident video RAM 189 during initialization immediately after power on to be resident. Thus, after completion of the initialization processing, drawing processing of an image can be performed by an image controller 188 while using image data resident in the resident video RAM 189. Therefore, since corresponding image data need not be read from a character ROM 187 composed of a NAND-type flash memory 187a having a slow read speed in image drawing, time required for the reading can be abbreviated, thus displaying an image drawn on an auxiliary display part 65 by instantly drawing the image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
