To provide a nuclear reactor containment vessel contributing to the shortening of a construction time schedule, and which thereby improves the cost benefit of a nuclear power plant installation.
This nuclear reactor containment vessel is given a steel-plate concrete structure, having a cylindrical wall outside of a primary nuclear reactor containment vessel, a top slab (ceiling) outside; an inner side wall of an equipment compartment divided by a floor in the lower part of a pressure suppression pool; a steel plate having a width of the order of 20 mm inside the ceiling; and studs for firmly fixing the steel plate to concrete. This allows, for an ESBWR, the construction time schedule for the nuclear reactor containment vessel to be shortened.
